Painting, Borat and the Toilet
Yesterday was a day chock full of fun, fun, fun. My day started with the arrival of the new fridge and stove which are great. While I was waiting for Heather to come over and help me paint I decided to reverse the doors of the fridge and freezer as they opened opposite to how we liked it.
About halfway through that job I discovered that I did not have all the tools I needed. A trip to Canadian Tire was in order. Got what I needed there and got a phone call from the Colonel who invited me over for a special treat.
I went over and was served by a nearly mute man. I believe his name tag said Nell and I heard that he may have been raised by wolves. When I asked for my cups he grunted at me while I avoided direct eye contact. After this interaction I headed home and Heather joined me for a Colonel Feast and then some painting.
Painting went well. 2 coats of Caldwell Green are now up. I have some trim work and ceiling work to finish up. I also have to replace the light fixtures and some of the electrical outlets.
After this was dinner and a movie for Cherie and I with Megan, Meghan and Christina. We went and saw Borat which was HILARIOUS, if not mildly disturbing at some points! I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.
After dropping everyone off it was home time and time to discover a toilet problem? What was it you wonder? Well, it was clogged. Why was it clogged you ask? It was clogged because my wife was cleaning the fridge out today and decided to dump and flush (that sounds gross) and jar of baby pickles down the can. Yeppers. After literally a half hour of plunging and snaking (with a coat hanger) it finally flushed although this morning it was making some odd gurgling noises. I have a feeling I am in for more plunging....
