Diet Time, Diet Time, Time for Scooby to go on a diet...

Dear Scooby,

As noted by the picture below, you are slightly (I use that term lightly) overweight. You are a solid mass of cat and it is time for you to go on a weight control plan.

Overweight and less active. Yep, that's my Scooby. Do they make then for people like me, cause really, I think this could be the answer to my problems. Pour me a couple of bowls a day, and since it has "great taste" and will "help satisfy appetite" the weight should just drop off.

Scooby is doing okay on his new food. At first, he didn't seem to like it but he's eating more of it now. Really, what choice does he have? If he doesn't eat it, he would starve and that would suck.

Scooby and I promise to exercise more. We are reintroducing nightly calisthenics into his routine of ummmm, sleeping and eating. Calisthenics for Scooby involves me using a "laser" pointer and him chasing the beam all over the place. Once he really gets going I see how high he can jump up the patio door. Fun for me, fun for him I'm sure. The best part is making him think he's caught it...ahhh, who's the smart one now kitty.

Anyways, Scooby is beside me right now facing off against an empty toilet paper roll. I think he'll win but the cardboard roll will put up a good fight.
