How long does it take to cook brown rice?

I am not going to say much with this post. This is brown rice, "cooked" (I use that turn lightly) in the microwave.

I thought perhaps we could have a little contest here on my blog. Let's guess how long the microwave was set for when this little disaster occured.

I will give you a couple of clues (quotes from my other half if you will):

1. "My eyes are burning"

2. "Brown rice takes longer to cook than regular rice"

3. "That's my favourite bowl" (this ones not really a clue - it's just funny!!

4. "It says 20 minutes on the stove on the box, but really it's like 40 minutes!"
