Has the World Gone Mad?

Well its been a while since I wrote here but today I am feeling sort of inspired. I am inspired by what you see here on the left of your screen.

I heard about this new trend this morning on the radio and thought, those crazy Americans, what are they thinking turning a Christmas tree upside down.

From a newspaper:
"Upscale retailer Hammacher Schlemmer sold out of its $599.95 pre-lit inverted tree, a 7-foot evergreen that rises from a weighted base, before the end of October. Tree importer Roman Inc. sold out, too."

First off, $600. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. Second, where the heck do you put the star. So tonight, Cher and I were out at Midnight Madness (not a lot of madness, I can tell you that) and there it was in one of the stores (on second thought - THIS is madness) - the upside doewn Christmas tree decorated like it was normal. Like no one else would look at it and think what is going on here. Has the world gone bad. Have Tree started growing backwards. My problem with this whole scenario is the sheer craziness of it. Why is the tree upside-down? I don't even think that I can comprehend the ridiculousness of it. Anyways, I am going to bed now to dream of Santa Claus bringing gifts while hand-standing. Whats next? Will Santa crawl through sewers and come bounding out of my toilet. What a Christmas miracle that would be.
